Diocesan Visioning Process

Dear Member of St. Casimir Parish,
Bishop Ricken is inviting everyone in the Diocese of Green Bay to participate in a Diocesan Visioning process. The goal of this process is to create new plans for the future of St. Casimir and the Green Bay Diocese. These plans will result from the ideas, suggestions and comments received from the members of all the parishes in the Diocese. Our task is to solicit your ideas, comments, suggestions, and summarize these ideas and forward the results to the Diocesan office. Also from this information we will create a plan for the future of St. Casimir Parish.
The Diocesan leaders have suggested various ways to accomplish this task. Our parish Stewardship team feels the written survey completed at weekend Mass would be the most beneficial means to obtain your input. The information here is to help you prepare to answer the questions on the survey.
The survey will focus on two themes: Discovery - What gives life to our parish and Dreams - What is God calling our parish to be and do.
Discovery: What are the strengths of St. Casimir Parish? What are the good things that happen here? Why did you join or continue to be an active member of St. Casimir? Prepare to share a story or describe a situation whereby the parish family gave you support and strength. What is working in our parish? What are two to three things you value and appreciate? Things that reflect the life of St. Casimir.
Dreams: The second part of the survey focuses on the future. What are your hopes and dreams for the future of our parish? If you could change anything, what would you change in crease the life in our parish? Don't hesitate to write and include ideas that may seem impossible. Those ideas foster other ideas that all work toward the future plan.
The survey will be conducted at all Masses on the weekends of October 16 & 17 and October 23 & 24, 2010. After the survey, the Stewardship Visioning Team will compile all your comments to create our work plan for the future and prepare the report for the Diocese.
Please spend some time in prayerful, reflective thought this week as you prepare to provide us with your comments and suggestions.
