Religion Class

 

 

 

 

 

is the helpmate of the home whose foundation of Christian attitudes and values of the child is of the greatest importance.

 Catechists

 

are faith-filled people dedicated to spread the message of Jesus in support of the parents.

 

cooperate with God to develop in the child knowledge of God and the truths of faith through both teaching and example.

 

 

Parent Responsibilities:

  1. Attend Sunday Mass with your child.
  2. Be your child’s number one religious educator.
  3. Provide child with opportunities to worship, learn and practice their faith at home and within the faith community.
  4. Establish family religious customs throughout the church years, e.g.: Advent, Christmas, Lent, etc.
  5. Help child memorize prayers required for their grade level.
  6. Be aware of the Religious Education class schedule.
  7. Contact the teacher if your child is not present for class.
  8. See to it that your child gets to class on time and is picked up promptly after.
  9. Check with your child each week for any messages or homework.
  10. Check the weekly Sunday Bulletin for any changes or messages.
  11. Attend parent meetings – especially for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.

 

Student Responsibilities:

  1. Students must come to class each week prepared to learn. Any assigned homework must be completed prior to class.
  2. Children must attend classes every year to adequately prepare to receive the sacraments. (First Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation)

 

Fees:

$25 per child or $45 per family.

 

 

Grade School Class Schedule:

All grade school classes (grades 1 - 8) meet Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 am.

Pre-School Class:

All pre-school children are invited to attend our special pre-school CCD sessions. Please call Debbie Rozmiarek at 920-899-3375 to let her know your child will attend to ensure she has enough supplies prepared.

 

One pre-school session will be held on December 12th.

 

 

High School Class Schedule:

All classes meet Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

 

October 7 - ALL four grades

October 14 - Freshman and Sophomores

October 21 - Juniors and Seniors

October 28 - Freshman and Sophomores

November 4 - Juniors and Seniors

November 11 - Freshman and Sophomores

November 18 - Juniors and Seniors

November 25 - NO HIGH SCHOOL CCD

Memorization of Prayers:
Memorization of prayers and other information related to our religion will be asked of your child. We have indicated at which grade level the requirement is being made.
